Hepatitis Cured by Vitamin C

As Told By: Anonymous

In 1997, I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. Initially, I was given three B shots to "prevent cirrhosis." Since then, every year, my physician would have blood work drawn from me to see how my liver was doing, and I was never treated for it.

In 2005, I started to feel very sick and fatigued; I only wanted to sleep. I grew visibly ill and became increasingly lethargic. After seeing my physician several times, I was refered to a liver specialist. The specialist did blood work on me and suggested that I get a liver biopsy because my liver enzyme levels were 98% elevated. AST was 103 H and the Alt was 99 H when blood work was taken in March 2005. At that point, the specialist then decided to do further tests. Unfortunately, upon receiving the test results, he went over them with me and suggested that I be treated with interferon (same chemotherapy drug used for treatment of cancer) for a year. Because of the type of treatment and money, things did not look optimistic for me. I made a tough decision to decline that type of treatment, and I couldn't help but feel relieved that my insurance would have only covered half of the cost anyway.

My family and friends and I spent lots of time in prayer about it. My son and his wife did some research on other possible solutions. I continued to pray and asked God to help me with my decision. My son told me that he and his wife would help in any way that they could. He also asked me if I would be open to alternative treatment. If so, he and his wife would pay for it.

My son and his wife made an appointment with an Alternative MD. We decided to go with a treatment that consisted of ten treatments of extremely concentrated intravenous doses of vitamin C, as well as oral milk thistle and green tea. After the treatments were completed the alternative MD took a blood sample in October 2005, and the results were AST 54H and ALT 51 H. Three days later, the HCV QuantaSure Plus (serial) International Units were 40,500 IU/mL. To sum it up, my liver enzyme count before the treatment was 492,000. After the treatment, the elevation level was reduced by 95%.

With all my treatments, strict diet, exercise, taking the vitamins and herbs that were prescribed, prayers, support from my family, and God’s help, my liver has gotten better. My liver can never be completely healed because it is scarred, but I am thankful for all God has done for me. Please do not give up hope. Where there is faith, there is hope.
